Thank you for visiting my site. Interest in fiber art has increased over the last 20 years. Today, fiber art encompasses a wide variety of forms and media. I create fiber art in a mosaic style, using a variety of fabrics. For more than 18 years, I have specialized in creating original artwork that is one-of-a-kind and unique. Using a heat-bonding method, I create my artworks by cutting and placing each piece individually onto a base fabric. My artwork is exhibited across the Midwest in numerous galleries, showcasing my unique art medium.
My journey as a fiber collage artist began in the late 1990s when I experimented with the use of fabrics and other tactile media. I used to work in stained glass and loved the contemporary, color-blocked images. So I developed this form of mosaic art but using fabrics. Over the years, I have fine-tuned my process, and work more free style. The strategic placement of color and utilization of negative space is even more important in my work. As a fiber artist, I have had the pleasure of showcasing my work in numerous exhibitions, galleries and public spaces.
My studio is located in Eldridge, Iowa. This is where I host gallery groups throughout the year, capturing the opportunity to show art enthusiasts my work by appointment. Fill out the online form to learn more about my work in general or about a specific piece that may interest you.
